How To Do Your Makeup When You Feel Like Crap
Alexis Noelle
If anyone understands the struggle of not wanting to get ready because you feel bad, but also not wanting to look like a complete ogre..it is definitely me. If you read my last post, you'd already know that I broke my foot about a month and a half ago. Having a broke foot sucks enough as it is, but it also makes doing common every day things about impossible, like doing your makeup.
When I was just stuck at home, I wouldn't even bother doing my makeup. But the constant doctors appointments forced me out of the house, and living in a small town like I do it is very easy to bump into people you know.
So here is my quick guide to help you fellow ladies who need a quick makeup routine when you feel like...well, just shit.

Please do not take this post as me telling you that you need makeup to look pretty.. I cannot count how many times I go out in public without makeup, with just a tshirt and shorts on. DO YOU.
Stay Beautiful,
Alexis Noelle

1. Always Prime
Primer is super easy and fast to put on. I typically just put a dime sized amount on my fingers and rub it into my t-zone (forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks). My go-to primer lately has been Smashbox Photo Finish Primer.
2. Foundation & Concealer
You always want to throw on some foundation or concealer to hide any blemishes or dark spots. I was born with dark circles under my eyes, so if I don't use concealer I tend to look super tired and washed out. When you're feeling bad you don't want to put on a heavy or cakey foundation. My favorite foundation and concealer for a sick day is Wet and Wild's Photo Finish Foundation and Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer. Both of these products are super light weight yet provide plenty of coverage.
3. Blush and Bronzer
COLOR, COLOR, COLOR!! Feeling sick is automatically going to wash your face out. Add a pop of blush and some bronzer to your cheek bones, temples, and nose. This will take your face from dead to alive and beautiful. My favorite bronzer for this is currently Hoola by Benefit. Blends very easy and is a perfect shade for all skin types. For blush, you can really use any brand. My favorite recently is by Tarte, but feel free to use any kind!
4. Mascara
Add some mascara to your lashes to make your eyes pop out!
5. Highlight
Lastly, this step is not mandatory, but in my opinion makes a huge difference. Add some highlight to your cheek bones, inner eye corner, and nose. This will make you feel better about yourself 100%, who doesnt like a little glow? My go-to highlight right now is Wet and Wild's precious pedals or any Anastasia Beverly Hills glow palette.
